About Keep Delaware Beautiful

Keep Delaware Beautiful (KDB) is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and educating people to take action for a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful Delaware. Established to unite residents, businesses, schools, and community organizations, KDB works to reduce litter, promote recycling, and encourage sustainable practices that protect Delaware’s natural environment.

Through public education, cleanup initiatives, and partnerships with local governments and civic groups, Keep Delaware Beautiful strives to create a lasting culture of environmental stewardship. Programs like the annual Great Delaware Cleanup, community beautification projects, and awareness campaigns such as “Don’t Be A Flicker” empower citizens to take responsibility for the places where they live, work, and play.

KDB also supports volunteerism and corporate engagement, helping communities organize cleanups, tree plantings, and waste-reduction events. By providing resources, outreach materials, and connections to statewide partners, the organization amplifies local impact and fosters collaboration toward shared environmental goals.

Keep Delaware Beautiful operates under the belief that small actions add up to big change—whether it’s properly disposing of waste, recycling right, or preventing litter from entering our waterways. Together, these efforts help preserve the beauty and health of Delaware for generations to come.
